The Community Resource Project

In the information age, knowledge is power. It's cliche but true. The goal and mission of the Pride Center is to advocate for the well-being of LGBT people in the community, and to do that we want to be sure that important information and resources are available to everyone. This is why we've chosen to pursue to this new endeavor, and we hope you will join us!
The Community Resource Project (CRP) is an effort to make the individual knowledge and resources of our community available to those who need them. Often people need services or are looking for information - things like a gay-friendly doctor or lawyer, or need to know where to stay when in the area. Individuals in the community have this information, but it's not always readily available to those who are seeking it. This long-term project will draw on the collective knowledge in the community to pull those resources together so that when folks in the community need information it will be there.
This is your chance to contribute! If you live in the five-county area (Summit, Stark, Portage, Medina or Wayne) your knowledge of local resources and LGBT-friendly businesses and professionals is valuable. It could be a resource like a local organization, a service provider like a doctor or lawyer, or even a local business that you know to be LGBT friendly. The link at the bottom of this page will take you to an online submission form where you can enter the information you wish to share.
The goal is to have resources in every category from each of the 5 counties. This is information that will empower people in the community, and will help ensure the well-being of those who need information right away. We appreciate your help!
